Feature Shoot: ED's Zaku I + Zaku II

A few weekends back I had the opportunity to photograph some of my boyfriend's (Gunpla with ED) incredible gunpla models. I had been itching to handle and photograph painted models for a long time and needless to say it was quite the experience and vastly different than photographing dolls.

Unlike a doll, gunpla are machines and the attitude and atmosphere can come off as quite different from a humanoid subject. The boyfriend helped a lot with posing his models as I observed their range of motion and amazing details he put into them.

One of the greatest things about photographing gunpla as opposed to resin dolls is the weight difference. Gunpla are much safer to balance and pose, which was a relief to me!

Gear used for this photo shoot:
- Canon 5D Mark II
- Canon 100mm f/2.8L macro
- Think Tank Retrospective 7 bag
- Adobe Lightroom CC
- VSCO Film

You can check out Jordan's photos from our photo shoot and more of his work here:

A huge thank you to the boyfriend for letting me photograph his models. I hope I have done them justice! Stay tuned for more Studio Miscast x ED collaborations in the very near future.

Leekeworld: Eyes for May

This April marked my 1 year anniversary working with the South Korean BJD company Leekeworld. Over the course of the year, I have photographed wigs, shoes, eyes, and even their resin horn parts.

This month, I had the opportunity to photograph their new collection of shimmery glass eyes. These beautiful eyes are so enchanting.

I fell so in love with this pair Nico is modeling, I decided to preorder her a pair. What do you think?

I recently received another box of new Leekeworld products, so stay tuned for more pictures and a box opening video.

As always, I am available to photograph products both in the US and overseas for your business or Etsy shop and would love to feature your products on my blog!
